I’m accident prone… so the first thing I purchased was a General Medic Mini First Aid Kit. It had plenty of room for adding additional bandages and medicine I thought I might need. It’s nothing fancy, but I think would make a fabulous stocking stuffer. It’s half-off right now for Black Friday too! $9.99 instead of $19.99. The other item I bought, after the first three months abroad, was a filtered water bottle. We spent three months in South America and one of my least favorite things was constantly having to buy water bottles and worry about the water. I got sick a few times from the water and so I ordered a Brita Metal Bottle before we even got home, (Peep the bottle and Humphrey in the picture ) It’s now been with us since New Zealand and I love this thing. I didn’t need it in New Zealand for the filter, but 100% needed it in Thailand. Back home, we joked that I like having an emotional support water bottle, so this had become my emotional support travel bottle ha! You’ll see it in a lot of my pictures and videos. when hiking or around town. The bottle costs $41.49 and comes with a single filter, but it lasts for a while. You can purchase additional filters, as well. I only brought the one, for this trip. If you’re not a Brita fan, there are a ton of other filter bottles out there. LifeStraw makes one called the LifeStraw Go Series that runs in the same price range at $48.71. I always recommend a metal bottle as it better for your hormones, as easier to keep clean on the go.
